Connection between research question, methodology and results is poorly communicated. Presentation has grammatical errors, is poorly organized.

Research question, methodology, results are fairly clear. Presentation is, for the most part, appropriate and accurate.

Clearly articulate research question, methodology and results. Well-organized presentation includes appropriate exposition, grammar, presentation skills.

Class presentations and/or project/exams in ECON 7810/8810; ECON 7125/8125

       

Demonstrate ability to synthesize modern economic micro and macro theory to address real-world issues.

(ECON 7310/8310 and ECON 7320/8320)

Has little ability in moving from abstract to concrete. Inaccurately applies models to real-world problems.

Has some difficulty in drawing connections between applications and relevant theory.

Is accomplished at applying theory to real-world situations. Accurately recognizes the relevant underlying theory when presented with concrete problems.
